Is this a good violin for an absolute beginner who has never touched a violin and doesn’ even know if like it?

I’m looking to start playing violin and saw these one on ebay. if anyone who plays knows anything about this violin or ones like these, let me know if its worth it to buy. like i said i don’t even know if i will even like it, so i don’t want to spent a fortune and not like it.

You aren’t getting much of an instrument with either of these. I can appreciate that you don’t want to spend a lot of money on an instrument until you’re sure you’ll like it, but buying a cheapo isn’t a good solution. When you buy a cheap instrument, you get something that is hard to play and keep in tune. Even an experienced musician would have a hard time making it play and sound good….In other words, buying the cheapest violin you can find will almost guarantee that you’ll become frustrated and give it up. Then you’ve wasted more money than if you’d bought a decent one that you could re-sell.

One solution….which my daughters violin teacher recommended to us…is to rent a violin. That way, you’ll get a better quality instrument to learn on. Part of the rental money can be applied to the purchase price of a better one when you’re ready to upgrade. If you absolutely insist on buying something online, please at least go through a reputable company that specializes in violin family instruments.
