Century Japan launched its new USB LCD monitor last month. The new LCD 8000UD is the new LCD display device that can be powered by USB, apart from the usual power supply. It is little different when compared with the previous versions, mainly due to its DVI capabilities.

DVI port comes as an inbuilt feature and allows you to support a full HD high resolution of up to 1920 x 1080. There a number of benefits of this LCD. First off, it allows you to connect to a secondary display. And, more so, you can shuffle between couple of video devices without have to fiddle through messy cables.

DVI link-up reduces the CPU overhead and there are many good things about this LCD too. The primary display in the device provides resolution of up to 800x600pixels, and the LED backlit display renders 120/140 degrees viewing angle. It comes with a brightness level of 250 cd/sq meter.

As far as the pricing goes, the new Century LCD 8000UD costs around $158 and it is currently available in Japanese markets. It is a great option for anybody who needs more on-screen area, and wants to hook up several cascaded screens.

Looking at its outward looks, the Century 8″ USB LCD monitor closely resembles a tablet PC and easily fits into laptop sized bags. It is definitely over-priced to an extent. But, keeping the ease of transportation, and many of its exceptional capabilities in mind, this LCD monitor is worth paying the extra amount (you can easily find a good LCD monitor under $140 mark)
